I recently submitted a photo for a non-profit with whom a friend works. The group is called Journey of Solutions. Below is one of the photos I submitted along with its description.
I grew up on the Atlantic Ocean. I spent my childhood playing along its shores and my adolescence sailing its rough waters. When I traveled to South Africa for the first time, the country appeared exotic and strange to me. But the Atlantic was its old self, as wild and aggressive as I remembered from my youth. This is a picture of the Atlantic side of the Cape of Good Hope, looking north into the sun; a mirror image exists somewhere in New England, looking south, toward Africa.
